We will be doing basic postures, with a heavy focus on the breathe, aiming to truly melt into posture, release the fascia, and find relief from stored tension in the body.

Yoga and the Nervous System

A basic workshop on how the breathe communicates with the nervous system and talks to the the tension stored in the body; how we can utilize it to communicate safety and truly allow it the opportunity to let go. How we breathe is how we teach the nervous system to behave, and as I like to say, yoga is an opportunity to let go of the things we didn’t know how to talk about

Teacher Bio

My name is Brandon, I’ve been teaching and sharing the practice of yoga for a number of years and in the beginning phases of my personal practice it quickly became a passion for me. I’m fascinated with not only the Asana, the philosophy, but the inner workings of how that plays a key role in nervous system regulation. My focus is typically a more Yin style of yoga, because I find the physical benefits of truly melting into positive to be incredibly powerful when it comes to truly releasing the tension we carry, and I also enjoy incorporating elements of sound healing in the process.
